OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 

Dear crossbow-shooting friends, 

The IAU Executive Committee is pleased to inform all member federations that the 2012 World Championships will take place in Switzerland (Match 10m and 30m) and Croatia (Field IR1800 plus 50m Finals).  The IAU President Gerard Boutteville has expressed his thanks to the organizers of these events in the following statement :- 

Message from the  IAU President  

In the name of the Executive committee of  the I.A.U, I cordially thank the organizers for Croatia and Switzerland. In spite of the economic crisis, in spite of the sporting expenditure for the Olympic Games of London, two dynamic and courageous federations make it possible to the best principal arbalists of the world to live their passion together. We will live great moments, in August 2012, and we will write together more beautiful pages of the history of the crossbow.

Au nom du Comité Exécutif de l' I.A.U, je remercie chaleureusement les organisateurs de Croatie et de Suisse. Malgré la crise économique, malgré les dépenses sportives pour les Jeux Olympiques de Londres, deux fédérations dynamiques et courageuses offrent aux meilleurs arbalétriers du monde la possibilité de vivre ensemble leur passion. Nous vivrons de grands moments, en Août 2012, et nous écrirons ensemble de belles pages de l' histoire de l'arbalète.
