 IAU Crossbow-shooting has been in the news throughout 2009. Three European Championship events (Malinska CRO in March, Otrokovice CZE in August and Thaon-Les-Vosges FRA in September) were reported on in the English-language magazine BOW INTERNATIONAL. The European Shooting Confederation’s ESC NEWS 2009 published a report on the European Match-crossbow Championship, Thaon Les Vosges, which was written by the ESC’s Editor-in-Chief Werner Hirt.

AVON 2010
the IAU World Championship is coming!
On December 5th in Paris, the FFTir Federal Committee approved the organization of the World Crossbow Championship (IAU Match 10/30m and Field) in AVON (Fontainebleau) France from August 30th to September 4th 2010. Fontainebleau is a commune in the metropolitan area of Paris, 55.5 kilometres (34.5 mi) south-southeast of the centre of the French capital. Further information will be announced during January 2010.
