Gérard Boutteville, France was unamimously re-elected as President of the IAU for a second term by the delegates of 17 nations present at the IAU General Assembly on September 1. The meeting took place at Le Maison de la Vallee in Avon France. Thanking the delgates for their confidence in his leadership, Gérard Boutteville delared his aim to recruit new nations for the IAU crossbow-family, with the target being the IAU becoming a member of the GAISF within the next four years. Following his re-election, the IAU President declared that Charles Méchin (France) would continue as the IAU Secretary General to continue with his excellent work since 2008.
